2008 Blogging Experiences

In 2008, here are my blogging experiences:
- Two of my blogs got penalized by Google. A PR4 and a PR3 were both taken away.
- I bought a domain and a hosting in February.
- Focused my blogging efforts in the domain
- Bought another domain and another hosting package mid-year
- Cashed in my $500 earnings from paid posts.
- Decided to try adsense as a source of blogging income
- Created another blogspot for technology
- Google giveth, and google taketh away. My domain got a PR3 in 75 days, but was reduced to PR1 in the succeeding update. Now it has a PR2.
- Traffic improved because of some SEO techiques
- Adsense earnings improved. Will cash out my first $100 soon.
I admit that this tech blog had not taken flight. In 2009, it will. Just like my other blogs. Now I got:
- Personal blogs (2)
- Travel and SEO blog (1)
- Sports Blog (1)
- Tech blog (this one)
- Flowers and weddings blog (1)
- Literary blog (1)
I have to trim down my number of blogs. I still owned two other domain names that are not yet hosted. I am still on the lookout for a better webhost. Mine sucks. And I hate to think that my two sites are all down on the first days of the New Year! Yay!
